Recruiter/Onboarding Coordinator

Immediate opening.  With hiring season on it's way for the Fall & Winter, we are seeking a Recruiter/Onboarding Coordinator. Your main objective in this position is recruitment. You will need to have experience in this area and be able to pick up and run with the task. This is a fast paced role as it is retail/high turnover and the need to be able to multi-task and have good communication and follow up is key.

This seasonal position will fluctuate up to full time hours when the season is in high gear which is preparation for Spring time and Fall.  Hours will decrease or diminish completely when there is no need for hiring. This position can be a regular seasonal employee on our company payroll or work as an independent on a 1099. You have the ability to work remotely part of the time and some of the time needs to be in the Winchester Mahoney's office. You will need to be very organized with time.

Recruitment is the main objective.  You will need to screen resumes online, phone screen with calls and conduct face to face interviews at our Winchester location for some of our departments.. You will coordinate hiring needs with managers.  You will assist new hires in completing paperwork, enter new hires into HR/Payroll system and put together new hire folders, file and miscellaneous tasks that are minimum. Keep compliance of paperwork. You will have the ability to conduct some of your work remotely however, we do want someone that can come into the office for hands on work when it is needed.  In the future, this position will set up orientations of small groups, administer training videos if needed and sign off logs for training

Immediate Duties/Responsibilities:

Achieve staffing objectives by evaluating job candidate’s online applications/resumes, maintains job postings both online and in-house, phone screens, arranges and interviews candidates, coordinates interviews for specialty positions with the manager, meets new candidates to properly orient which includes new hire process paperwork and training videos all while maintaining compliance. Enter new hires into payroll system as well as various HR office tasks. Keeps Human Resources and Managers informed. Ability to have versatility in scheduling and travel to different store locations if needed to meet with candidates.

Other Responsibilities and Duties

  • Establishes organization plans and objectives; meeting with managers to discuss hiring needs.
  • Determines applicant requirements by studying job description and job qualifications.
  • Attracts applicants by placing job advertisements; using company Recruiterbox website and job sites.
  • Determines applicant qualifications by reviewing online applications/resumes, calling the candidate personally and asking basic hiring questions with scripted dialogue, after analyzing responses; verifying references if needed; and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Upon determination the candidate may be a fit for the position, arranges management interviews by coordinating schedules with managers/candidates.
  • Conduct interviews on your own
  • Monitoring job ads regularly, monitoring Recruiterbox, continuing to place necessary job ads upon request by managers of all store locations
  • Enter new hires into payroll system as well as other various tasks to assist HR. Training will be provided on entering new hires.
  • In the future, complete online WPS (Worker Protection Standard) training in order to process a complete orientation. Requires online videos and final quiz and approximately one hour of time or so.

Recruitment experience necessary, data entry/typing skills required for entering new hires into payroll system, Phone Skills, Interviewing Skills, People Skills, Supports Diversity, Employment Law, Results Driven, Professionalism, Organization, Project Management, Good Judgment, Retail Industry experience helpful.
